Clean Energy, Climate Action, and Consumer Protection

Clean energy is not just environmental policy; it is economic policy.

The more we invest in renewable energy like wind, solar, and alternative fuels, the less we rely on unstable fossil fuel markets. Oil and gas prices fluctuate constantly, leaving families and small businesses vulnerable to sudden spikes. New Jersey families deserve stability, predictability, and lower utility costs.

That stability comes from accelerating the transition to clean, domestic energy production.

I will fight to:

  • Expand investment in renewable energy infrastructure

  • Protect and strengthen clean energy tax incentives for wind, solar, and alternative fuels

  • Reinstate and defend electric vehicle and clean energy tax credits

  • Promote energy innovation that creates union jobs right here in America

  • Strengthen grid modernization to improve reliability and resilience

At the same time, we must protect consumers. Big oil companies are reporting record profits while families struggle at the pump and with rising utility bills. I will support stronger federal enforcement against price gouging and corporate profiteering, along with tougher consumer protection laws to ensure corporations cannot exploit crises for excessive gain.

Climate change is real, and its impacts are already visible. We see it in catastrophic wildfires on the West Coast, stronger hurricanes along our coasts, devastating floods, and extreme weather events that destroy homes, disrupt businesses, and displace communities.

Climate action is about protecting our economy, our health, and our future.

We must also responsibly regulate emerging technologies like artificial intelligence to ensure they are used ethically in energy markets, infrastructure management, and environmental systems — not in ways that exploit consumers or undermine public trust.

Clean energy means cheaper energy, stronger communities, and a more secure future. We cannot afford to delay.
