Childcare costs are out of control, and working families are being crushed financially. Parents should not have to choose between going to work or staying home because childcare is unaffordable.

 

Families should not be forced to pay $10,000 to $20,000 per year just to ensure their children are safe while both parents work.

 

If the government wants to encourage families to have children, then it must ensure raising children is financially possible.

 

 

As a Member of Congress, I will fight for:

 

Expanding Early Head Start and Head Start

• Making childcare programs accessible to families in every community

• Federal investment to ensure childcare is affordable for working parents

 

 

Every family deserves support, and every child deserves a strong start.
