Reinstate and Strengthen Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is not about division — it is about fairness.

It is about ensuring that every American, regardless of race, gender, background, disability, or sexual orientation, has a genuine and equal opportunity to succeed.

The data tells a clear story. Black Americans make up approximately 13–14% of the U.S. population, yet hold only a small fraction of the nation’s total wealth. Meanwhile, white Americans, who make up roughly 60% of the population, hold a vastly disproportionate share of the country’s wealth. These disparities are not accidental — they are the result of decades of discriminatory policies, including redlining, unequal school funding, hiring discrimination, and barriers to capital.

We cannot close wealth gaps without intentional solutions.

I will fight to:

  • Restore and strengthen federal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives

  • Invest in historically underfunded Black and brown school districts

  • Expand access to affordable business capital for minority entrepreneurs

  • Enforce fair housing laws and expand access to affordable, equitable home loans

  • Address the lingering effects of redlining through targeted reinvestment

  • Strengthen workplace protections against discrimination

  • Ensure equal pay for women, people of color, LGBTQ+ Americans, and people with disabilities

Economic justice and civil rights go hand in hand. When communities that have been historically excluded are given fair access to opportunity, our entire nation grows stronger.

Equity is not special treatment. It is correcting imbalance.

If we want to build a more prosperous America, we must ensure that prosperity is accessible to all.
